Copyrighting Your Web Site

I talked to an attorney on the subject of copyrighting Web sites. The Web site & all its code is usually automatically copyrighted by the creator of your Web site. However, you should have your copyright notice displayed on the very bottom of your Web site. Your copyright notice needs to have the copyright symbol (©), person, company or organization the copyright is owned by, the year of copyright (can be the year of now) and the phrase "All rights reserved". So for example, the copyright notice for helscel.com is, "Copyright © 2011 Helscel.com. All Rights Reserved". So by displaying this copyright, you are protected. You are protected regardless of your copyright notice but by actually displaying your copyright notice on your Web site, you make it clear to everyone visiting to your Web site.
